If you are an IT contractor, then providing you have been in this line of work for some time, then you may not even need the 12 months' history. We have a number of lenders that will consider the contract value, which for mortgage purposes can work very well and help with the overall lending and affordability. So, if you're contracting and looking to get on the property ladder, there are probably more options than you may have realised.
